Additional Tariff Threats Causes Dollar To Fall Further To Yen – 5 April, 2018
The dollar fell against the yen as President Trump threatened an additional $100 billion in tariffs on China in what Trump calls Chinas “unfair retaliation”. The dollar fell to the already stronger yen by 0.2 percent down to 107.15 yen, quickly shutting down the dollars quick rebound high of 107.49 yen. Should U.S. and Japanese equities be more pressured, the drop could deepen even further. The euro edged up on the dollar by 0.1 percent to $1.2252 euro, and the euro eased to the yen by 0.1 percent to 131.27 yen.
