Aussie And Kiwi Dip As Omicron Dominates Headlines – 28 December, 2021
An increase of global restrictions and a clouded financial outlook caused the Australian and New Zealand dollars to ease. After touching a five week high of $0.7264, the Aussie dipped to $0.7221, while the kiwi slipped to $0.6794. Many areas of Australia and New Zealand reported an increase in Coronavirus cases, however state governments are promising not to lockdown their economies despite tighter restrictions on social gatherings.
