Bitcoin Continues Winning Streak, Rises Above $6,000 – 9 May, 2019
After a nine day rally, Bitcoin rose above $6,000, outperforming its closest competitors and rebounding over 90% from last December after crashing from a high of $19,000 in 2017. The cryptocurrency ended a nine day winning streak gaining 2.7 percent to $6,060. This is the currencies longest streak since 2017. With a history of hacks, security is still a main concern for the digital market as hackers continue to find ways to withdraw money from cryptocurrency exchanges. Bitcoin has surged more than 50 percent in 2019, but investors are expecting a wave of resistance before it hits the $6,500 mark.
