Brexit Negotiations And Dollar Tension Show Positive Forecasts For Sterling- 5 April, 2018
A Reuters poll has found that forecasts for sterling are at their highest since the Brexit vote due to progress in talks of the possibility of another interest rate hike due next month. The main reason, however, is due to the outlook of sterling versus the U.S. dollar which is currently on a downfall due to the trade spat between the U.S. and China. This week, one pound was worth approximately $1.40, and has rallied roughly four percent from political uncertainty and fears putting weight on the greenback.
