Dollar Drastically Climbs Against Multiple Currencies – 18 march, 2020
The dollar continued to climb against major currencies as investors fled towards cash in an effort to remain more liquid during the uncertainty over the future of the global economy. The U.S. dollar reached a an 11 year high against the New Zealand dollar, jumping 2% higher. The greenback also reached a 17 year high against the Australian dollar, rising 1%. Against the pound, the dollar was up 1% to %1.507, just below its highest since 1985. The greenback was up 0.6% to 108.69, and the euro erased the little gains it made to settle at $1.0882.
