Dollar Gains After Trump Comments – 26 January, 2018
The Greenback rose after comments President Trump made about wanting a stronger Dollar. The slight bounce was just enough to pull the Dollar away from a three year low of 88.43, settling at 89.176 and was enough to pull the Euro away from three year highs. The Euro closed 0.2 percent higher for the day, landing at $1.2424, just slightly below Thursdays high of $1.2538. Sterling remains below its $1.4346, its highest since the Brexit vote, finishing the day at $1.4191.
