Dollar Hits Ten Week High Against Yen – 28 February, 2019

The greenback rose 0.3 percent against the yen to 111.77 yen, reaching a 10- week high against the Japanese currency due to a surge in Treasury yields when U.S. gross domestic product data results came back higher than expected. Against a basket of six major currencies, the dollar index was up 0.1 percent to 96.250. The euro was steady at $1.1371, sliding just under a three week high hit the previous day. The Australian dollar was little changed at $0.7093.
