Dollar Just Above 3 Week Low, Investors Eye Election – 11 October, 2020
The dollar stood just above a three week low as investors speculated the possibility of a stimulus after the November 3rd Presidential election. The dollar index last stood just at 93.036. The euro was up 0.60% to $1.1841, while the yen strengthened to 105.34 per dollar. The Swiss franc was just below a three week high at 0.9102 per dollar, and the pound surpassed $1.30 on Brexit deal hopes. Against the euro, sterling stood new a two week high at 0.9043. The Australian dollar fell 0.4% to $0.7183, while the offshore yuan was just off Fridays 1 1/2 year high of 6.6785, and last traded at 6.7626.
