Dollar Slips Ahead of Trade Talks With Canada – 11 September, 2018
The dollar took a bit of a dip when Canada suggested it was ready to talk with the U.S. about the North American Trade Agreement and hopefully resolve some issues, while U.S.- China trade tensions continued to linger. The dollar index slipped 0.1 percent to 95.133 against a basket of six major currencies. Chinas offshore yuan was 0.1 percent weaker at 6.8830 per dollar and fell to a two and a half week low the previous session to 6.8870. The pound dipped 0.1 percent to $1.3017, and the euro dipped 0.1 percent to $1.1595. Against the yen, the dollar fell 0.14 percent to 111.49 yen.
