Dollar Slips To yen After Trump Signs Support Deal – 27 November, 2019

U.S. President Donald Trump’s support for anti-government protesters in Hong Kong caused the yen to gain against the dollar with some worried that trade negotiations between the U.S. and China could get murky. Against the dollar, the yen rose 0.2% to 109.39. The offshore yuan fell 0.16% to 7.0255 per dollar, while the onshore yuan was steady at 7.0287 versus the dollar. As investors sought safer options, the Swiss franc rose on worries of a geopolitical risk, coming out of a two month low to last trade at 0.99875 against the dollar.
