Euro, Pound, and Gold Fall – 15 March, 2018
The euro fell 0.5 percent to $1.2301 while the pound fell to $1.3938 and the yen rose 0.05 percent. The Bloomberg Dollar Spot Index also advanced to its highest in over two weeks by 0.5 percent. Gold fell its most in a week to $1,316.20 per ounce after the new White House appointee Larry Kudlow made remarks that he would sell gold and buy the greenback, and West Texas Intermediate crude gained 0.4 percent to $61.21 per barrel on signs of stronger U.S. fuel consumption.
