Gold Eases As Ceasefire Talks Begin – 28 February, 2022
Gold prices dipped from their strong performances over the last few sessions as Russia and Ukraine began ceasefire talks and countries ramped up sanctions agains Moscow which eased safe-haven asset demand. Spot gold shed 0.3% to $1,902.15 per ounce having gained over 1% the previous session. U.S. gold futures were up 0.2% to $1,904.80 per ounce. Ceasefire discussions began at the Belarusian border after economic isolation from many countries after they began attacking Ukraine.
