Gold Jumps Overnight, Oil Close To Four Year Highs – 2 October, 2018

Investors sought refuge in gold, trading to its highest level in over a week with spot gold gaining 1.3 percent to $1,208.23 an ounce overnight before settling at $1,206.04 per ounce. Oil remained close to its four year high hit earlier in the week of $85.45per barrel, adding 8 cents today to $84.88 per barrel. U.S. crude futures rose by 1 cent to $75.24 per barrel, having hit a four year high earlier of $75.91 per barrel.
