Jerome Powell’s Comments About The Dollar Cause Sterling To Fall – 27 February, 2018
The British Pound Sterling fell to it’s lowest levels since February 22, reversing earlier gains, by 0.6 percent to $1.3891 after Federal Reserve Chief Jerome Powell’s comments about central bank sticking to gradual rate rises boosted the Dollar. Recently, the Dollar as well as Brexit related news have driven sterlings price actions. The Dollar rose 0.3 percent against a basket of major currencies. Sterling fell 0.2 percent against the Euro to 88.36 pence per Euro.
