Oil Falls, COVID-19 Hit One Million Infected Mark – 29 September, 2020
Worries of rising COVID-19 cases extending into northern winters, limiting peoples movement, pushed oil prices lower. Brent crude fell 1.2% or 48 cents to $40.55 per barrel. West Texas Intermediate fell 0.8% or 33 cents to $38.96. Coronavirus cases hit a 1 million infected mark earlier in the week, while investors scramble to put together a possible timeline to better forecast oil demand for the coming weeks.
