Growing expectations for a Brexit deal helped sterling climb for a second day against the dollar. The pound gained 0.4 percent to $1.3175 while the dollar fell to 94.06 against a basket of major peers as the Federal Reserve is expected to raise rates on Wednesday. Sterling remained flat against the euro at 89.54 pence. Britain is set to leave the European Union in just over six months but Prime Minister Theresa May has yet to reach a departure deal with Brussels.
