Pound Dips To Five Week Low On Uncertain Rate Hike Expectations – 26 April, 2018
The British pound slipped to a five week low, falling by 0.1 percent to $$1.3915, an unusual drop during this season because sterling has historically been stronger during this time of year. The drop came before a central bank meeting happening next month with expectations for a rate hike slipping to 50 percent from 80 percent. Sterling also weakened by 0.2 percent against the euro to 87.45 pence per euro.
