Sterling Falls Against the Dollar and Hits A Low Against The Yen – 23 July, 2018

The British pound fell to the U.S. dollar and hit a three week low against the yen. Sterling slipped to $1.3103 against the greenback, and hit a low of 145.8 yen, sliding 0.6 percent as the yen remained firm against the board. The central bank is rumored to be scaling back its stimulus which gave the Japanese currency a boost. If there are signs of a hard Brexit, the pound could face more volatility, with Prime Minister Theresa May’s current exit strategy receiving harsh criticism from the public. Against the euro, sterling last traded 0.1 percent lower to 89.315 pence.
