Sterling falls to Year’s Lows – 16 May, 2018
One of the best performing currencies of 2018, sterling, has given up all of its gains for the yeah as it dipped close to the low of Tuesday’s $1.3452. Due to a remaining risk and lack of concrete plans with Brexit negotiations and a rally in the dollar, sterling fell by 0.2 percent to $1.3480, but gained 0.3 percent against the euro to 87.390 pence per euro. Wage growth data also remained mixed with annual growth rising by 2.9 percent in three months.
