U.S. Coal Industry Shares Drop Amidst Paris Climate Agreement Decision – 1 June, 2017
Coal and renewable energy stocks in the U.S. slipped amidst President Trumps decision to pull out of the Paris climate agreement, despite multiple energy companies advising otherwise due to fear of backlash to the global coal industry. Stocks in solar energy and oil also slipped and large U.S. corporations are worried the decision will hurt business as opposed to helping the economy.
