US Consumer confidence rises to highest level in 14 months
Data showed today that the consumer confidence index in the United States rose to 121.7 points in April from 109.0 points in March, the highest level since February 2020, and analysts had expected the consumer confidence index to rise to 113.0 points in April.
The index of the current situation of labor and labor market conditions rose to 139.6 points in April compared to 110.1 points in March. The index of future expectations rose to 109.8 points in April compared to 108.3 points in March.
The gross domestic product in the United States is expected to grow at an annual rate of 6.1% in the first quarter of this year, to be the second fastest growth rate since the third quarter of 2003, after the economy grew by 4.3% in the fourth quarter of 2020
