Yen Beats All Group 10 Peers in First Half – 2 July, 2018
The yen has once again come out on top, beating every Group of 10 peer in the first half and an average of 4.8 gain. Against the euro, the yen was around 128.90 yen with potential political turmoil across the region. The Australian dollar fell 7 percent against the yen to 82.008. It’s up 1.7 percent against the dollar to 110.80, brought on by U.S. protectionism and threats of trade wars. With all this going on, the yen could be pushed even higher for the second half.
